Empowering Students
Through Experiential Learning
Pāda, the Sanskrit word for foot, footprints and the act of stepping, embodies the essence of exploration and progress. Whether exploring new cultures and environments or taking on physical challenges, at Pāda Pāda Education, we believe in providing uniquely transformative learning experiences that extend beyond textbooks and traditional school settings.
We pride ourselves on our ability to create bespoke experiences specifically designed to your school's individual needs and desires. From field trips to trekking expeditions, sailing voyages to service projects- we can turn your vision into reality.
Our trips enable students to apply classroom learning to real-world settings, inspiring them to take initiative, work collaboratively and embrace new perspectives. Each trip is an opportunity for personal and academic growth, encouraging students to step outside their comfort zone and to develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive in today's world.
Pāda Pāda is more than a name; it's a philosophy, a reminder that every step is an opportunity to connect with nature, challenge yourself, and grow as an individual. Join us and journey beyond the classroom, creating memorable learning experiences that leave lasting footprints.
Ensuring Student Safety
With Leading Professionals
Founded by Mike Napier, a qualified teacher and International Mountain Leader (IML) with 18 years of experience working in the outdoor education industry with some of the world’s leading international schools, including Nord Anglia Education and United World College of Southeast Asia, we put your student's safety at the forefront of what we do.
We ensure all our expeditions are accompanied by industry-leading practitioners who are trained and qualified to the highest standard through internationally recognised qualifications in wilderness leadership and advanced wilderness first aid. All our leaders have a proven track record working with young people worldwide to facilitate industry-leading educational experiences.
Mike’s experience in the British construction industry, as an access specialist, adds an additional layer of safety to Pāda Pāda Education’s service work, ensuring our projects align closely with British health and safety standards.
In addition, we are the only company in the Middle East who staff all our trekking trips with at least one IML whose qualification is recognised by the Union of International Mountain Leaders (UIMLA), ensuring the highest level of safety, expertise and professionalism.
Making positive change
One Step at a Time
At Pāda Pāda Education, we believe every footprint left behind is a memory; each footprint tells the story of our journey, the challenges faced, and the beauty encountered. Every step leaves a mark on us and on the world. We embrace the responsibility to ensure that those marks are positive, contributing to the well-being of both individuals and the world around us.
To ensure a positive footprint, we dedicate time during each trip to educate students about the impact of our actions on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We assess both the positive and negative effects of our expedition and discuss ways to minimise the negatives while maximising positive outcomes. Furthermore, we empower students to apply their learnings from the trip to enhance their impact in their everyday lives, thereby fostering a culture of sustainable living.
To enhance our positive impact and mitigate our environmental footprint, we offset the carbon emissions from all our trips. Additionally, a portion of the trip costs is allocated directly to local NGOs and charities with whom we collaborate, supporting sustainable development initiatives in the countries and communities we visit. This dual approach ensures that our expeditions not only minimise harm but also actively contribute to the well-being and development of the regions we engage with. In addition we ensure every member of staff receives a fair and respectful salary for the work they do, based on the country they live in.
